The proposed upgrade of UOW Football Clubs home ground Kooloobong oval has been approved!! There was plenty of opposition for the upgrade that includes  two synthetic playing surfaces, fencing, lighting, seating and an amenities upgrade. The councilors voted 7-3 in favour of the proposal, allowing UOW Football club to be the second club in the Illawarra to have a synthetic playing surface.
